REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Mass transport of any kind in Jakarta is very important for the state capital, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated.
"No matter what kind it is; whether monorail, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rapid Transit (LRT), buses, mass transport is absolutely necessary for Jakarta," President Jokowi remarked at the Jakarta City Hall on Friday night.
"Mass transport of any kind is essential in Jakarta, but the need for meticulous study and calculation in advance should not be ignored, for such construction cannot be commenced directly, " the President noted.
According to him, if the prerequisite plan and research for the construction are not in line with what is expected by the Jakarta provincial administration, it will become difficult to proceed with the construction.
"The calculation must be in accordance with the needs of Jakarta's provincial administration." the President reiterated.
